My request for guest contributions seems to have fallen on deaf ears, with the exception of one. I opened my email inbox this morning and Aidan, my rather brilliant son had sent on a poem he wrote last year, for his 'brother', our pet dog, Benny. I think it's rather good. Thank you son and come on people! If a ten year old (he was nine when he composed it) can have a crack, so can you. Emails to paulyhogan@hotmail.com if interested. Would provide some welcome variation from my own witterings, I'm sure you'll agree.
A Poem For Benny:
A Poem For Benny:
Benny, Benny, your coat is so soft!
You are always very hungry and love to scoff.
Benny, Benny, I love you so much!
You are like a fur ball with a face.
Brace yourself, for you see my dog Benny.
People will faint when they see his beauty.
Benny, Benny, your nose is so soft!
It is like a Cadburys dark chocolate button that has got wet.
Benny, Benny, I love you so much.

That's cool. The boy obviously takes after his old man.
