The Mother of My Child

A day early but I'll be otherwise engaged, tomorrow, for some reason.

I would, therefore, like to wish all the wonderful Mothers, a very happy Mothers' day for Sunday.

I'll also be sparing a thought for all the wonderful women, who would make fantastic Mums but for whatever reasons, aren't blessed. Not to mention, offering a silent prayer for the children who have mothers (and fathers), who haven't, shall we say, stepped up to the plate. And of course, peace and kind thoughts, to all those who have lost their Mums.

Here's one I wrote earlier, for one of the best.

The Mother of My Child:

The Mother of my child.
The love of my life.
Her name's carved on my heart,
with a mystical knife.

I did let her down,
yet she did pick me up
and helped me to see (just in time),
that enough was enough.

The mother of my child.
The strongest woman I know.
Bound together, forever,
I hope we never let go.

And some people have said
It's now so clear to see,
how much I mean to her
and how much she means to me.

So on this fine Mother's Day,
I will offer up praise,
for the Mother of my child.
My escape from the haze.

The mother of your child has a brilliant husband. A great Mother's Day gift. All the best pal.
